The rally pace notes app for your whole recce
RecceLab is a pace notes app for rally drivers and co-drivers. Write notes on recce with GPS, draft them from a GPX track, check them against onboard video and print the final book. It runs in your browser, works offline and is free to start.
How it works
- Build the stage. Drive the recce and enter notes on a keypad made for co-drivers: each note is saved with its GPS position. Or upload a GPX, KML, GeoJSON or CSV track and let RecceLab draft the notes for you.
- Check and correct. On the second pass the next note opens automatically as you reach it. Keep it or fix it, then save the stage as a new version.
- Rehearse and print. Sync the notes with your onboard video or a YouTube link, rehearse in the co-driver view, and export a PDF pace note book.

Questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. RecceLab runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer. You can add it to your home screen to use it like an app, and an Android app on Google Play is on the way.
Does it work without mobile signal?
Yes. Stages and notes are saved on your device during the recce and synced when you are back online.
Are the drafted notes ready to race on?
No. A draft from a track is a starting point that saves typing. Every note must be checked on the recce by the crew who will use it.
Is recce allowed with GPS?
That depends on your event's regulations. Some events restrict or forbid electronic devices on recce. Check the supplementary regulations before you use any app.
