Rehearse your pace notes against onboard video
Watching the stage while the notes play at the right moment is the closest thing to driving it again. RecceLab lines up your notes with onboard footage so you can rehearse the rhythm, spot wrong calls and practise reading.
Use your own video or YouTube
- Local video: open a file from your phone or computer. It is played on your device and not uploaded.
- YouTube: paste a link to an onboard and sync your notes to it.
Three ways to sync
- GoPro GPS: if the video was filmed on a GoPro with GPS, RecceLab can use that data to line up the notes automatically.
- Beep: line up from a sound signal at a known point.
- By hand: mark where notes fall while you watch. You can fine-tune the offset and drift afterwards.
Rehearse like a co-driver
In playback mode the current and next notes appear over the video, and you can show the track or a map beside it. A game mode shows the notes as language-free icons, the way rally games do.
Next steps
No notes yet? Draft them from a GPX track or record them on the recce, then come back to the video.
